June Price Match Guarantee on Aftermarket Parts

For the entire month of June, Generations Ford is offering all customers — not just Ford owners — a price match guarantee on all aftermarket parts prices from any other vendor. Walk in or call with your price quote and our team will match or beat it. No gimmicks. No asterisks. No fine print. This offer applies to parts we have in stock and does not extend to parts ordered from third-party online retailers.

For questions or to confirm availability before you make the drive, contact Dustin Wood, Parts Manager, directly at 304-562-3315 or 304-356-0100.

Parts hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday on the parts side — so if you're making the drive out on US-60 from Saint Albans, Scott Depot, Winfield, or Nitro, Monday morning is the cleanest run.

What Your Vehicle Actually Needs This Summer

West Virginia summers hit different than anywhere else on the map. You go from a 68-degree morning commute down I-64 to 92 degrees in a Kroger parking lot by noon — and then back down into cooler mountain air by the time you're through the Teays Valley and back up toward Hurricane. That thermal cycling is hard on fluids, hoses, belts, and tires in ways that flat-state maintenance schedules don't account for. Here's what our team sees coming through the bay every May, June, and July — and what's worth addressing now before it costs more later.

❄️ A/C System & Cabin Air Filter

Your A/C system loses refrigerant gradually — up to 10% per year. Two summers in, and it's working noticeably harder for noticeably less cold. A cabin air filter clogged with last fall's pollen and road dust is choking that airflow before it ever reaches the vents. Both are fast fixes with the right parts in hand.

🌡️ Coolant & Radiator Hoses

WV summer heat combined with hard grades on US-60 and US-35 will find a weak cooling system fast. Coolant that's past its service interval won't absorb heat the way fresh fluid does. Check your reservoir and inspect hoses for cracking, softness, or swelling — especially if your truck has over 60,000 miles on the original hoses.

🔋 Battery Health Check

Most people think cold weather kills batteries. Heat actually degrades them faster — it accelerates internal chemical breakdown and speeds up corrosion at the terminals. If your battery is 3 years or older and you haven't had it load-tested, summer is when it will decide to strand you. It's a free check at most shops, including ours.

🛞 Tire Pressure & Tread Depth

Tire pressure rises about 1 PSI for every 10°F increase in temperature. If you set your pressure in February, you're almost certainly over-inflated by July — which reduces your contact patch, increases your stopping distance, and puts extra stress on the center tread. Take 4 minutes and check all four. Most passenger vehicles run 32–35 PSI as their cold-inflation spec.

🌧️ Wiper Blades

Summer in the Kanawha Valley means afternoon thunderstorms — the kind that go from dry to horizontal rain in about 45 seconds. If your blades are smearing, chattering, or leaving streaks, that's not an inconvenience. On US-60 at 55 mph with a semi behind you, that's a visibility problem. Wiper blades are the cheapest safety part on your vehicle.

🔧 Oil & Filter

Oil viscosity is affected by heat — older or degraded oil thins out and loses its protective film at high operating temperatures. If you're coming up on an interval and have a summer road trip planned — a run up to Snowshoe, a lake weekend, or a haul down to the Outer Banks — get it done before you go, not after something goes wrong three hours from home.

Why OEM & Certified Parts at Generations Ford?

Rewritten from the existing parts page content — now in a format that actually answers the questions people type into Google.

Factory OEM and Aftermarket Parts Available — What's the Actual Difference? +

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are the exact same components used when your vehicle was assembled on the production line. They're built to your vehicle's specific tolerances — not adapted from a universal fit. An aftermarket part for your F-150 was designed to fit hundreds of different trucks. An OEM part was designed to fit yours.

At Generations Ford, we stock both. When you call with your price quote during June, our team can tell you whether the part you're looking at is genuinely comparable or if there's a fit or durability gap you should know about before you buy.

Competitive Prices — Don't I Get a Better Deal Online? +

Sometimes. And in June, if you find a lower in-stock price anywhere else, we'll match it or beat it. What online pricing doesn't include: the cost of getting it wrong. If an online order arrives and it's the wrong part, you pay to return it, wait on the replacement, and lose the time you budgeted for the repair.

When you order through Generations Ford, Dustin's team confirms the part number against your vehicle's VIN before it ever leaves the counter. That's not a value-add. That's just the job done right.

Extensive Parts Inventory — What If You Don't Have It in Stock? +

The June price match guarantee covers in-stock parts only — not parts ordered online or specially sourced. This is the one real limitation of the offer, and we want to be straight about it. Call ahead at 304-562-3315 to confirm availability before you make the drive.

For common summer items — cabin air filters, oil filters, wiper blades, coolant, brake hardware — our stock depth is strong. For specialty items or less common trim configurations, ask and we'll tell you honestly what we have.

Convenient Business Hours — What Are Parts Desk Hours? +

Parts Department: Monday – Friday · 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM · Closed Saturday & Sunday. The early open is intentional — if you're heading out from Barboursville or Winfield toward Charleston for work, you can stop in on your way and still be on I-64 before 8:00 AM.

Full Line of Accessories — Can I Upgrade My Vehicle Here? +

Yes — Ford-licensed accessories including bed liners, running boards, towing packages, floor liners, and more are available through the parts department. These are Ford-approved fitments, not generic add-ons. The June price match offer applies to aftermarket equivalents if you find a lower in-stock price elsewhere.

Assistance From Trained Professionals — Who Is Actually Helping Me? +

Dustin Wood has run the parts desk at Generations Ford in Hurricane for years. He's not reading from a lookup screen — he's worked on these vehicles and understands the difference between a part that fits and a part that performs. When you bring in a quote or describe what you're hearing from your engine, that matters.

Call him directly at 304-562-3315 or 304-356-0100.
